Hi

I am interested in the link between IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) and anxiety, depression and panic (and to some extent phobias).

I was recently speaking to a herbalist who told me that all too often when faced with a patient with "minor" mental health problems like anxiety and depression that she ended up treating underlying stomach ailments that mainstream medicine would call IBS.

I wonder if acupuncture could be any good for IBS. If so, it might well be a good way to tackle anxiety in some patients.
